Prize Fight is in its eighth year of promotions and continues to be blessed with outstanding opportunities along with having a dedicated and professional staff. The company paid its dues over the past several years, promoting shows in nightclubs, National Guard Armories, hotel ballrooms and small casino shows throughout the south.



Prize Fight co-promoted the biggest bout in boxing history on June 8, 2002 in Memphis, TN with Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. The fight shattered both the live gate record with a $17 million live gate and $108 million gross pay per view sales.

Prize Fight returned to the Pyramid Arena in Memphis, TN on February 22, 2003 with the Mike Tyson vs. Clifford Etienne fight carried live on Showtime Network Television and drew over 15,000 fans.





Prize Fight co-promoted the Lennox Lewis vs. Vitali Klitschko Heavyweight Championship fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on June 21, 2003. This memorable event drew the largest viewing audience in the last four years on HBO.

Prize Fight opened up the FedEx Forum on September 25, 2004 in Memphis, TN with the Roy Jones Jr. vs. Glen Johnson IBF Light Heavyweight Title fight on HBO. The feature bout saw Prize Fight’s Ivan Hernandez defeat Mark Johnson for the WBO Jr. Bantamweight World Title.





In June 2005, Prize Fight promoted the Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson Light Heavyweight World Title Fight at FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN on June 18, 2005. The fight drew over 13,000 fans.

Prize Fight's corporate office is in Southaven, MS. The Prize Fight Boxing Gym is located in Southaven, MS at 1884 Forrest Drive. The Prize Fight Boxing Gym is a 2,000 square foot world class training facility. Prize Fight has begun a budding amateur program out of the gym in Southaven and is dedicated to the betterment of children in the community.





Prize Fight hosted the 2004 United States Olympic Boxing Trials in Tunica, MS. This monumental event was held at the Paul Battle Jr. Arena in Tunica, MS.

Prize Fight was honored with the "Keys to the City" of Memphis on January 21, 2003 and received a Senate Joint Resolution by the State of Tennessee on March 17, 2003 for promoting Lewis vs. Tyson and Tyson vs. Etienne. The two fights brought in tens of millions of dollars to the city of Memphis and the state of Tennessee.

Prize Fight continues a monthly boxing series in the mid-south area and has sold out 43 consecutive casino shows to date. The show formerly hosted at Sam’s Town Casino in Tunica now rotates between various Isle of Capri properties and Fitzgerald’s Tunica. The show is broadcast via tape delay to 1.5 million homes in a 4 state area on UPN 30.

Prize Fight has promoted five ESPN shows over the past year at The Isle Of Capri in Lula, Mississippi, WC Handy Park in Memphis, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, Super Bowl XL VIP Party in Detroit, Michigan and the most recent at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.

On April 28th, 2006 Prize Fight promoted the SHOBOX fight card on the Showtime network from 4’ Bears Casino in New Town, North Dakota.

Prize Fight recently promoted the Jermain Taylor vs. Winky Wright Middleweight Championship of the World on June 17th, 2006 from FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN. The fight aired live on HBO and grossed over 2.3 million dollars.





Prize Fight has a trio partnership consisting of Mike Lampley, Russ Young and Brian Young. Nate Yoder handles media relations, public relations and event coordinator duties for Prize Fight. Prize Fight has its own boxing radio show called "Inside The Ropes" on 560 WHBQ Radio in Memphis, TN. The show airs every Friday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM and is hosted by Brian Young, Peter Edmiston and Nate Yoder. Listen live to "Inside The Ropes".
